Last weekend I gave a workshop about drawing mandalas to a group of creative yogis. We learned a bit about the Mandala and then dove right in and put pen to paper and drew. I was excited to share my experience of drawing and creating mandalas as a meditation. For me, drawing them is a time to let go of my ego and draw something without judgement. We drew our designs in pen so that we had to commit to what was on the paper. If you did not like it, you could move on to the next one. It is an exercise of not judging yourself and letting the unconscious take over. I am excited to see what these yogis draw in their future meditations – hopefully they will share something that I can post in the future.
