This year I participated in the 100 Days of Art Challenge from January through May. Everyday I made a monoprint on my round Gelli Plate for my challenge and then posted the art online on Facebook and Instagram. I was nervous to do the challenge – What if I could not last for 100 days? What would I do for 100 days? Would I miss days? Well, it went really well and it became something I looked forward to each day. I chose a technique or theme for a week or two so I could explore various techniques and mediums. I did do a piece every day. I made a travel kit that I used when I went away on two occasions. I did not want to cover a weekend by making extra before or after my trips – that would be cheating for me. 🙂
I will be uploading the 100 pieces to a gallery on the website soon but you can go look at the pieces on Instagram at #100daysofacjmonoprints now.
